Festival of Lights

Our Primary Years Programme (PYP) recently ignited with joy and creativity during our Festival of Lights celebration, a vibrant expression of cultural diversity. Early Years learners dazzled in traditional Indian attire, complete with colorful bangles, bringing excitement and energy to the festivities.?

?With the enthusiastic involvement of our parent community, learners explored cultural traditions from India, Japan, China, Italy, and France. From painting Diya's and creating rangoli designs for Diwali to crafting Japanese Obon lanterns, the celebration was a true fusion of global cultures. Chinese Lantern Festival activities featured lantern-making and meaningful cultural stories, while France’s Fête des Lumières brought captivating storytelling, pottery-making, and artistic expression to life.?

?This enriching experience truly embodied the IB philosophy, promoting international-mindedness, creativity, and collaboration. Learners not only immersed themselves in diverse cultures but also deepened their appreciation for our shared global heritage. The day was a brilliant reflection of our commitment to fostering community and creating joyful, lasting memories.?
