Rick Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series is one of the most exciting and adventurous series I’ve ever read! It’s a perfect blend of Greek and Roman mythology mixed with modern-day characters who are relatable, funny, and brave. This series is a continuation of the Percy Jackson books, but it feels much bigger and even more intense. The first thing that hooked me was the introduction of new characters like Jason, Piper, and Leo. Each of them has unique powers and backstories that kept me interested. I could totally relate to their struggles with trying to fit in, dealing with friendships, and facing problems they didn’t ask for. Leo, with his sense of humour and mechanical genius, is probably my favourite character because he proves that brains and creativity can be as powerful as swords and spears. One of the coolest things about this series is how the Greek and Roman camps are so different, and the tension between them creates a lot of suspense. The quests are much more dangerous, and there’s always a twist I didn’t see coming. The monsters are terrifying, but what’s really great is how teamwork and trust between the characters help them face these crazy challenges. The writing style is super-fast-paced, and the books are full of action from start to finish. At the same time, there are moments when the characters show real emotion, which makes them feel more human. The switch between points of view in each chapter is interesting because it lets you get inside the minds of different heroes and understand what motivates them. In conclusion, Heroes of Olympus is an epic adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. As a 7th grader, I think it’s a perfect mix of humour, action, and mythological history. Plus, it teaches important lessons about friendship, bravery, and believing in yourself. If you’re into fantasy, mythology, or just love an exciting story with relatable characters, you should totally check it out! Rating: 9.5/10 (because I never want the adventure to end!)
