During LS-5 this Monday, MYP 2-E and F were treated to a captivating session at the school library. The session was centred around Follett Destiny, our school's very own library website, and was packed with invaluable insights.
In the course of this detailed and informative session, we learnt about the various features of the software, including how to find and use online resources, e-books, image resources, search engines, and many more.

We also explored Gale in Context: Middle School, an online resource to help us research on topics of our interest. Using Gale, we explored how to search for a particular topic and view various different resources including images, videos, audios, magazines, and news. We also learnt how to highlight specific words and phrases and add our own notes, to help us keep our thoughts organized.
As a home task, we were given the opportunity to create our very own presentations on a topic of our interest, using the online resource.
Overall, this library session was an eye-opener, and I learnt a lot about Follett Destiny and Gale in Context. I will be sure to use these resources for research in the future!
