Under the transdisciplinary theme “How the World Works” students of PYP 4 inquired into energy. They developed their understanding through Edu Lab and constructed models on kinetic and potential energy. They investigated into transformation of energy as the application of various forms of energy, they displayed their knowledge by making connections with real-life applications of various gadgets and devices they use.
Students explored new ways used by society to conserve energy and understood the relevance of choosing renewable resources.
They culminated their inquiry by promoting sustainable and green energy that supports human progress without creating an impact on the environment and future generations through making various models on energy-efficient households, transportation, and industry that boost human growth. Students monitored their learning by using the rubrics and projected them as self-regulated learners.

Students of PYP 4 culminated their inquiry into the Transdisciplinary Theme "How the World Works" with a summative assessment that encouraged Design Thinking and a Multi-Disciplinary approach. Students designed sustainable houses in groups and made models to showcase their understanding of green energies. They used their previously acquired knowledge and information on alternative energies made even minor adjustments within their houses, and provided details of energy-efficient devices. 

To showcase their understanding and creativity, students displayed their models as part of a Gallery Walk where the Principal and other head faculty could visit and ask questions. The students also viewed the other models on display to acquire multiple perspectives.
